CJC is thrilled to announce the formation of the Kansas Hemp Safety and Regulations Advisory Committee!

This new committee is a growing coalition of Kansas hemp farmers, processors, retailers, and advocates dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards from seed to sale. Our goal is to work with legislators this upcoming session to craft and pass comprehensive legislation that prioritizes consumer safety.

Key focus areas for the legislation include:

* Sales Requirements: Restrict sales to adults 21+

* Packaging & Labeling: Scannable information for easy access to Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and contact info.

* Prohibited Elements: No misleading claims, child-appealing imagery, or imitation of commercial snacks.

* Physical Requirements: Tamper-evident and child-resistant packaging for all non-cosmetic products.
